The Role
We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to own revenue accounting for a high-growth US SaaS or fintech company, working remotely from the UAE.
You will be the bridge between contracts, billing, and reported revenue: reading the contract, applying ASC 606, and making sure the revenue schedules tie to the general ledger every month. You will work directly with the Controller, billing, and FP&A.
What You'll Own
- Revenue schedules. Prepare revenue schedules for subscriptions, usage, implementation fees, and services, and keep them reconciled to the general ledger.
- Contract review. Review customer contracts and identify performance obligations, variable consideration, and timing of recognition under ASC 606.
- Deferred and unbilled revenue. Reconcile billed, deferred, accrued, and unbilled revenue, and prepare the related journal entries and roll-forwards.
- Metrics and reporting. Support ARR, MRR, and revenue waterfall reporting so FP&A and leadership work from the same numbers.
- Audit support. Prepare audit-ready documentation for material or unusual arrangements.
- Process improvement. Improve the contract-to-revenue process, revenue close procedures, and system logic, including where AI and automation can help.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of accounting experience with meaningful revenue accounting exposure
- Practical US GAAP and ASC 606 experience
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, payments, or other subscription or contract-driven businesses
- Strong reconciliation, contract review, and accounting documentation skills
- Experience with a major ERP or billing system, such as NetSuite, Stripe, Chargebee, Zuora, or Salesforce
- Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification
Preferred
- ACCA, CA, US CPA, CMA, CIMA, or equivalent (completed or in progress)
- Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output
- Experience with usage-based pricing, marketplace, or payments revenue models
- Big 4 or public accounting experience, or experience serving US clients

Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
