The Role
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a multi-entity close and raise the standard of the team around you at a high-growth US company, working remotely from Brazil.
You will own accounting quality across several entities, review the work of others, and become the trusted operational partner to US finance leadership.
What You'll Own
- The close. Lead the close calendar across entities, assign ownership, review outputs, and resolve issues before reporting deadlines.
- Review. Review journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Multi-entity accounting. Own intercompany, eliminations, and foreign currency accounting across the group.
- The team. Coach accountants, improve review standards, and build repeatable close and control playbooks.
- Coordination. Coordinate audit, tax, payroll, AP, AR, and external service provider dependencies.
- Reporting. Present close results, risks, and material variances to Controllers, CFOs, or founders.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including close leadership or review responsibility
- Hands-on US GAAP experience supporting US entities or clients
- Strong command of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and financial statement review
- Experience in a multi-entity, multi-client, or fast-growth environment
- Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of accountants
- Experience with a major ERP, such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong written and spoken English, with the confidence to present results to US leadership
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification
Preferred
- CRC-registered Contador, ACCA, CIMA, US CPA, or equivalent
- Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output
- Consolidation and multi-currency experience
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 and ASC 842

Work Arrangement
This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
